He hit me .... is a blame statement.

"I got him to hit me" would be responsible,

Or, "I'm so incredibly skilled at starting arguments and fights, using mostly my nonverbal skills, that I goaded him into hitting me. I know he is so emotionally immature that he has no choice." 

Or, "I'm addicted to abusing and being abused. I lie, saying I don't want abuse in my life and then I attract and hang around equally abusive people. Then, by communicating covertly, abusively, nonverbally the way I do, I can get them to abuse me physically, in that way I draw attention away from my own anger and violent patterns and get them in trouble."
